Goofs: Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the original comic, before leaving for Mars Dr. Manhattan went back to his military base, told a soldier he was headed to Mars, and left. In the last panel of this scene, the soldier says “Sergeant, I got a message for you…” In the film, Manhattan just heads to Mars without telling anyone, yet all the characters in the film seem to know that that’s where he is. (Note: In the extended version, there is a scene where scientists use satellites to find Dr. Manhattan and discover him on Mars)
